Hey dudes
Thought I'd start a new thread as the other one kinda went down hill so to speak.
As promised here are some pics of my hose bag I had made.
Some of the pics show how much stuff I can get in it. (I can actually get alot more things in there too)
And I also show how well made it is, with double stiching with special (cant mind the name) thread all over, enforcement at the bottom of the bag and also put some stereo foam in the hem off the opening. This creates an open-mouth effect lol basicly making it a piece of p1ss to put the hose into!
As you can also see from the pics, I have used the strap from one of my sprayers and the blue rubber, shoulder support thingy you get on the Orion sprayers.
I have had two of these made in the past so learnt from intial design faults and problems.
I was by myself when i got back in from work so couldn't take any pics off me wearing it but i'm sure you get the idea.
Anyways, saves me aload of time and hassle fannying about with hoses, And looks more professinal IMO

Cheers Jason mate.
As I said, it saves alot of effort and time wresling with hoses.

They look great, thats just what I'm after Tony.
Did you get them made up yourself or by a outside company?
Thanks
Jim

Hey Jim
My mum made me it! lol She's a dress maker.
If you save those pics, print them off and take them to a local seamtress/taylor. I'm sure they can knock one out for you.
Leaves your hands free to carry wands, buckets etc.
Cheers

Looks good that tony.
How much hose does it hold mate ie mean in feet ???
Also does that hold a solution hose as well mate.
cheers clinton

Hey Clinton
It holds all that you see in the pic and more. For example, today on one of my jobs I had that stuff in there plus my stair tool, and a bottle on citra gel in there. As well as the CFR etc.
As for size of hose. It holds thick 2" hose and I have two sets of 25 feet. So 50 feet worth of hosing and solution line. And even then its still got room lol
I suppose if you need bigger, you can just state that to the person making it.
Cheers

Yeah the Ikea bags are good too. I made this mainly to free up my hands to carry other stuff.
-
looks great tony. much better then i expected. any one want to link to the ikea ones? can't seem to find them

IKEA LINK
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/17228340

oh gosh those ones. thought people were talking about something at least a little better then that. although they prob do the job of holding your hose i'd have thought customer wont be so impressed with an ikea bag being used. got to admit they're much cheaper
-
Cheers tony looks like i will get something simialr then if it holds 25 ft of vac and solution hose :)

Good link there Steve. I didn't realise the ikea bags had the ablity to go over your shoulder! Thought it was just a small handle. They will do the job well.
GCS
The cost of that fake leather fabric that i used for that bag was about £11 (i think) from john lewis. And the strap was from a sprayer (i never use straps when pre-spraying anyways) But I'm sure straps like that are easy enough to find. You want something durable if your using it everyday!
So the only other cost is getting it made. Cant see it being that expensive.
-
more expensive then 40p! you're right they probably not too much but i can see wyh people might chose the ikea ones.
-
Extracta do a good bag . I've had one for about 10 years and the zip still works. Holds 50" of one and a half inch hose . No good for 2" though !
-
Go down the tip when dumping any rubbish, take a stanley knife cut any fabric off the back of a sofa
stich it to the ikea bag ;D
BLUE PETER HERE WE COME ::)
