Title: dropped backpack
Post by: combat1 on January 17, 2011, 05:46:12 pm
My WCW backpack fell out of the back of the vehicle today, now only works if I kick it gently!
Anyone know how easy it is to open one up and have a look? guessing its a loose connection, thanks

Very easy to open.  Just a few (maybe 6) screws holding the base and container parts together.  Make sure the hose isn't kinked when you put it back together as it's easy to do that.

it's easy to do, i've also dropped my backpack and then had trouble with the pump.
Took mine apart and one of the connectors had come off the battery. Thats the 1st thing i'd look for  ;)

If it's the new, blue backpack the hose won't kink as it's longer and fixed to the pump properly. If it's the yellow one, putting the hose back on is like buttoning up your shirt through a key hole!

Try reversing over it. It might make it work properly again ;D

Thanks all. fixed it now, lead coming off the battery terminal.
Quite funny in that when it wouldnt work I put it back in my estate full of water.
Jumped in the driving seat and as I shut the door the backpack started up, pumping water into the boot. Monday mornings eh!
Liked the suggestion of reversing over it!
