Title: Brodex offer
Post by: Ian Rochester on January 15, 2011, 06:57:08 am
Good offer on at brodex at the moment, 36ft Hydra Alloy Pole for £128, if nobody's used these before they are excellent aluminium poles that have a 3 year guarantee on them, it's all we use now.

i have the hydra alloy 25footer and its very robust and rigid.great for some of my bigger houses and commercial.a tad too heavy for normal domestics though with a collapsed length of over 6ft.

the 36 footer i bet is great for some higher stuff.i have nt the work to warrant getting one at the moment.

for normal domestics gardiners poles win everytime IMO.

i am tempted to get one though as you never know when ill get a bigger job thatll be too high for my 25footer.

I would ask them EXACTLY what the 3 year warranty covers. There was a guy on here a while back & he had a few of these poles. His sections were bending & Brodex didn't want to know apparently.

If you like a good workout or are a glutton for punishment then these are a real bargain! ;D

i used to say they were a great pole and i bought 2 25 footers and a 36 footer , the clamps are absolute rubbish and the top section bent on all mine after a while to fair to brodex they did send me a replacement for the 36 but some of the clamps on that are now u/s , can,t use any of them now so beware regards alan

clamps on most poles are crap to be fair!the brodex ones dont seem to be that good though.i only use my pole a few times a week as my 22ft clx covers big chunks of my work so ive had no issues with the clamps as of yet.

the poles are not useless mate just buy a few clamps and theyll be up and running again!!

i prefer the extra weight esp at full stretch when its a bit windy!!feels more solid and robust and i can scrub better!! ;) ;D ;D
