Title: Advertising your business
Post by: lee sobol on January 13, 2011, 01:03:04 pm
I have recently started window cleaning within the last six months and now have about 20 customers. I have made up flyers and dropped them around my local area, walking many streets and knocking on a few doors, the hit ratio has brought me this many customers to date but I was wondering of the clever way to bring them in. I have a few local papers and magazines I could advertise in at high expense comparatively but a few people I talk to tell me not to waste my money doing that as they have had possibly 1 or 2 responses at most. Does anyone here have any good ideas they use that works well ?

That's not many customers considering you've been going 6 months, you meant TWENTY right?

No I'm not kidding thats the reason for my post, spending days dropping leaflets and door knocking is not bringing in the customers for me, any idea's ?

Are the houses derelict and empty?

The customers you have knock on the neighbours doors and ask them if all else fails just start sobbing and beg

Any helpful tips I'd like to hear, do you find door knocking gets you more business per day than a day of leaflet dropping ?
