-
it does get better, just takes time, so enjoy, did you use trad before, if you did you will soon realise how much better it is
-

-
you will get faster in time ;)
-
i explaind to one of my custys about the change over cheeky get said your just getting lazy >:(
-
Tell them to get rid of their washing machine and dishwasher then , thats lazy , or could it be progress !
That always works for me , they dont have a leg to stand on , unless of course they still do laundry by hand

are you converting the whole round over to wfp..tops and bottoms?
-
its abit of a mixed bunch some houses have long extentions have tried with pole but by the time youve fannied about its quicker to get the ladders out ;D
-
after the first month you wont get wet much, but most importantly you will underdstand exactly where you are best to park your van so you can maximise how many houses you can do with 50metre hose without moving your van(i do around 5 houses before moving)
-
dave its just re learning yr round
re fining if you like
some will hate wfp
others will love it
you will defo think its slower
till 2nd or even 3rd time ov doing
you will get snagged up on everything possible
youl ache like a gud un
but its all a learning curve , take yr time
then reap the benifits nxt time
soon youl be flying ;)

Hey Gav, i cant understand u unless u use text speak ;D ;D

ill keep at it ive got an issue with the reel lifting it in and out of the van so ive put a couple of hooks and cable tied it to the ply lining of the van. stood it in a large container to catch the drips any ideas how to secure

Definately better having the hosereel in the van instead of lifting in and out every time.
There are a few different ways of securing the hosereel, some people have them mounted to the inside of the van roof which saves floor space.
I have bolted 2 lengths of angle iron to the van floor which are the same width as the hosereel so it sits in there snug. I had anticipated also screwing pipe clips into the angle iron to hold the hosereel in place but found they are not needed as the angle iron does the job fine without any movement.

first month is gonna try your patience and you ll think of jacking it all in and going back to ladders!!
chances are you will get complaints as you ll leave spots and runs here and there.in fact you ll make a right mess of some windows until you learn to clean the problem windows/frames effectively.
you ll probably be slower on most work until you ve been round a few times.
the hose will drive you mad and you ll have more near misses(accident wise)than you did on the ladders due to looking up and nearly tripping over plant pots, garden furniture etc.
but after a while you ll speed up and realise how much easier and safer it is than using ladders.plus you pick up more work as well as lose one or two who ll not even give you more than one chance with it!!
i think without a shadow of a doubt its the best thing ive done for me and my business in 17 years of window cleaning!
safer/quicker(on most work) and cleans much better than trad IMO.you ll be able to clean those awkward windows and frames will be gleaming! ;D ;D
there is extra cost and faffing about filling up every night but ill never go back to ladders now!the very few that do must be crazy IMO!
i do use trad on some ground floor work as its easier on some or if the frames are in bad condition and there is the odd house i use ladders due to the garage flat roof being the only access to the back of some properties.but overall the ladders are used for hopping over the odd locked gate or if i need to get access to a very large flat roof with windows too set back to use the pole from the ground.
last year my turnover was the highest its ever been despite the bad weather in jan and dec.wfp did play at part in that as its one hell of a tool for cleaning windows!
im sure im gonna kick on this year and really improve my business again.
im 2 years through a 5 year plan to turn my business around into a cracking round with nearly all good priced work!! ;) ;D ;D

its good to here some posatives must addmit iwas gettin a bit cheesed off only one thing is bugging me is that im on a meter so dont know what my bill is gonna be i use around 350ltr tank with some left over per day ??? so i will have to re asess if its getting out of hand

Are you using a trigger on your pole ? If not try one it will save you loads of water .
-
At the end of my first week I would have happily chucked it all in the canal. After that it gets better.
-
i think getting a trigger will be my next gaddget to buy any addvise on which one to ???get
