I have a brook running down the side of my house you can buy some of that it's a bit murky but if you dilute it with some tap water I'm sure it will be fine  ;)

I love it when people say things like that as if I havnt given it any thought at all, people do pay that mate, I sell water on a regular basis to many window cleaners and I have rented equipment out for that much before. One of my team turned over £900 in 6 hours last friday clearing the gutters of 2 blocks of flats next to each other. there is alot of money on those sorts of jobs and houses for that matter so if a window cleaner set that up for himself and paid £70 for the complete kit I think thats a nice deal, again we are doing £1200 of domestic gutters this week. Its the same story through the summer with jet washing of drives and patios.

£1200 on gutters only in 1 week?

are you ripping people off? lol

no only joking, thats good news, how do you get that many jobs per week, il be honest i can knock £300.00 in a week on gutter cleaning on a very good week, apart from that its around 2 or 3 £60.00 jobs.

We have an annual gutter clearing round that our customers can join, it all gets done during our first cycle of the year. All these things come very easily when you start to approach things with the right mindset. its not a job its a business.

I dont care what you think mate and your not the one paying the bill

they were 2 blocks of flats next to each other through a management company I have a contract with, their only other options were cherry pickers or scafolding. So in fact they were very happy with our price compared to the other quotes they had, and because of that we have another 5 through them over the next couple of weeks.

;D  But your vans are bigger than his.

Nice idea with the kit hire.  If someone has some decent priced gutter cleaning £70 for a day sounds OK.  Personally I would prefer to just pass the job on and ask for a royalty as time is often a bit tight for me.

Gutter cleaning with a vac is an alternative to cherry pickers / scaffolding
when u weight up the costs associated to these , dont sell yourself short when cleaning 3- 4 storey high buildings on which you may have to get up and over out buidings.

Gutter cleaning with the vac at 30-40ft is extremely demanding and should be rewarded

regards
Billy

Hi Lee

Sounds interesting, although the selling of pure water to competitors might be risky in the long term as you will help them build up their business in your areas? and as soon as they have enough income they will buy ROs etc and undercut your window cleaning prices.

You already have enough problems with me setting up in Crawley, West Sussex ;D ;D ;D
