Hi all,
Carpet cleaning is my main game and have insurance for that but I also do pressure washing and other external work (gutter, conservatory and upvc cleaning) and was wondering if you have any recommendations regarding insurance. I am using AXA for my carpet cleaning but they wont touch my other cleaning fields.
Ideally I would like one company that covers everything,
Does anyone use one company for everything?
Look forward to your replies,
John

Pressure washing drives etc. is most likely covered by your current policy (call them and check).
If you want to clean building externals then you will probably have to upgrade or perhaps even switch policy's. When we went through this we switched over to Allied Insurance who we are still with.

I had several insurances for the various jobs I do the main one being the drains and pressure washing and I paid over £300, the missus did some digging and we now are covered by just the one policy. The local broker charged us less than £100 and now covered us for drains, pressure washing, carpets, windows, gutter cleaning, extreme cleaning, sharps collection and others that I have forgotten. Its well worth having a good look round as the prices vary by a massive amount, she went right over the policy and there are no stupid exclusions, no height, but no absailing and I do have a heat exclusion

Read the small print on a lot of these policies really carefully. Be sure you understand what it covers you for and more to the point what it doesn't. A lot of them are pathetic and a total waste of money.
Many are quite literally not worth the paper they are written on.

Ok I'll tear it up

we have used him for a few years and he has worked for a couple of companies but has now set up on his own under gleaminginsurance, he really understands the needs of cleaning companies and what needs to be insured on your policy ie loss of keys and breakages of items being cleaned, a lot of insurance brokers dont mention these things and when a claim arises you are left in the poo.
