Hi guys .
I'm in the process of taking some guys on and having a team of five canvassers with a goal of 50-100 customers per calendar month (20 customers per month per canvasser) .....
going off Dr Windows - if the canvassers were each to reach their target of 20 houses PCM at the cheapest clean DR Windows will have £700 worth of work per month.
Is there anyone who would be interested ?
-
what areas
-
20 per knocker, and 100 a month, u might as well go knocking your self and save your money,
if i had a knocker i would be looking at 20 per week per man
-
that was just a figure i chose as it works out 1 new customer a day ....
id start it off with 20 a month and then i would increase it to 25 , 30
20 a month would be minimum.

what areas
??? ??? ???

Will you be paying them hourly? if not how will they make a living? Commision rates would have to be very good for only 20 jobs a month.

20 was just a figure I chose as an example.
what area are you from stephen ?

Midlands

If I was looking for more work I wouldnt have any qualms about paying a canvasser (if the terms were good) and I recieved an invoice for money paid out

Same as H2ose.
Would you come to Milton Keynes Richard?
-
im always offering 1 clean but a bit far for you, surrey/london prices are good thou and its all 2 monthly so customers prefer to take us on
-
I'd be interested in employing a canvasser or 2 at those rates.
I'm in Lancashire.
-
same here lancs

it WILL be national IF it works but you cant blame an 18 year old for trying :P
Ive got to have a few more meetings with a few people yet to get a few things confirmed and sorted then itll be all guns blazing.

You still need to run that business though Mick. You could canvass that work but you still need to be able to clean them and keep the dusty happy
Just a thought ;)

Hi richard
Ive just canvassed 44 new customers last week at £6 per fortnight. I was lucky to find an estate where the window cleaner hadnt cleaned since last september but ive done very well.
Im employing a canvasser over the next weeks with a target of 40 customers per month. I will also be canvassing and also looking for 40 customers per month from myself. The plan is to get as many customers as possible before april and drop the pain in the arse customers.
If my canvasser doesnts reach 10 a week target which is easily achievable he will be replaced. I will be paying them £10-£15 an hour and will expect towards 15 customers a week for that money. I will be keeping the customers for myself and will need to employ more cleaners but i will be expanding MY business not someone elses.

There seems to be a general trend towards cleaning on a monthly cycle. How come you stick to the fortnighly cycle?

Alright Dan
The estate is on the way out of st helens going into prescot. Im canvassing another tomorrow near the st helens centre then ive got a list of leads for other estates for my canvasser to do when i manage to find the right one.
When are you in fingerpost next? Ive got two estates near you to clean next week....

Its easier to build a round faster then when im full of customers i will switch them to monthly and carry on expanding.

How do you get only fortnightly? Do you just offer that option?
What are the legal implications of hiring canvassers?
I imagine this has been discussed before! Sorry.

Its normal for fortnightly rounds around here. I think its a northern thing.
For legal implications ask your accountant she deals with all my stuff.
My shortlist of canvassers are all high achievers and have great records for sales. I have to say i will be hiring the best and paying them well and hopefully i will smash the targets im aiming for. Ive already got maps and a canvassing strategy for a number of local estates and a few commercial leads to follow up. Theres also a very generous bonus system for exceptional sales.
Good luck

Joe are you considering hiring a canvasser?
Danny
-
Yeah, I am. I've been reading up a lot on it actually.
Give me an email if you wanna chat about it. I have a few ideas 8)
One thing is for sure, there's no shortage of potential employee's!
-
I would be interested in hiring a canvasser but its like looking for a needle in a haystack in my area (Hereford/Worcester) im sure someone would make a fortune if they set up a canvassing company nationwide!!
-
Why is it hard? Put an ad in the paper, go through C.V.'s that are e-mailed you and find someone suitable.

i canvassed that estate not long after they where built but they had already gone, i wont bother if its a new build and the first phases have gone, not worth the hassle, do you have houses on there Kleenaway or are you off to canvass it?
-
I really don't know how people can canvas in the dark >:(
-
I WILL be national when im up and running and all goes to plan.....
hopefully we should see something happening within the next few months...
Can those of you interested please email me on
mail@fenechsfinesse.co.uk
thanks.

No ste it aint mine mate but i wish it was...its going to be a big 1 i think :( . Ye i know what you mean its no good is it because any half decent wc will pick up the whole estate if they are there cleaning it all the time. What work van/car do you drive ste because im always knocking about in st helens?

I canvass myself while my full timer does the work..........I took approx £400 extra a month Tues - Fri last week and that's canvassing areas I'm already working. I tried building my own canvassing team but had no interest so took it on myself. I would employ a canvasser once my round was at a certain point though but would expect more than £250 a month as I'd be confident of canvassing £100 per day give or take on my own.
-
drop us an email taylor with your area

Taylor, whats the best spiel you use to get that kinda level of success, coz £100 is serious going. Do you canvass evenings for better hit rates??
