Title: self assessment

I keep hearing on the radio the deadline for online self assesment is 31 january.

is this self assessment for tax year 2009/2010 ? which is what im presuming, as 2010/2011 SA surely cant be filed until after april 5th when 2010/2011 tax year ends.

just thought i'd check ;)

ps 2009/2010 SA filled out a long time ago (and rebate received) :D

2009/2010, I too sorted mine out months ago (about June) and recieved a rebate a long time ago.

My Tax year starts end of Feb 2010 to Feb 2011 and when they say about that deline just ignore it as the tax man never forgets to send me that nice form out to fill in for tax darn it ;D

I do my self-assessment online as soon after 5th April as possible. The system is usually unavailable for a few days, but as soon as it's up I do it. Gives me the maximum time to save for the following January.  ;)
