Title: Price for Sealing Wooden Floor
Post by: mxg on September 27, 2005, 10:52:35 am
We have got to seal a wooden floor this Saturday but its not something we have done before so would appreciate the experiences of all you flooring experts.

Awaiting confirmation of the floor space but I think its approximately 650m2. Should I price it by the m2. And if so how much ? Are there any other factors to consider ? Our client is supplying the materials - its Treatex Hardwax Oil Traditional, if that makes any difference.

Preparation - presumably making sure its spotlessly clean first is the secret.

How long would you expect it to take ?

IF you are wondering how we managed to get the job, our client was let down by somebody else and we reacted quickly to do the general cleaning bit.

Wooden floor sanding, sealing and dressing is a specialised subject and can be very expensive if you get it wrong...............

I would leave it well alone if you don't know what you're doing.
