Title: metal door mounted hose reels - anygood

anyone use one of these

as looking to free up some floor space and hang them off the inside of the back doors of the van .
Do they stand up to the abuse we dish out ??

or how about the plastic hozelock one ??

yes that looks the biz , i just bolted mine up to the roof of the van and its much easyer to winde up the hose , no bending down and all that ,
go for it.

thing is going to need some space as vans going to look a bit like this in the back !!

i cant get the pics on here ,
what i did was weld 2 cross pieces to some 2" square box tubeing and bolted it to the inside fo the roof , ive got one of those blue reels .

i will take photo now and try and get on here , back in a min

the laggin is a bit messy but i think it will work this is a 500ltr upright tank sat on some insulation foam stuff

jsm - what sort of hangers do you have on your vans door? I've got lots of stuff kicking about and need to organise it. I've got a wfp system and the CC equipment.

if the hose reel was hung from the roof with the handle facing you,  would it be easier to wind in with a roller at the base

Looks good the ones I have seen before are really expensive - might buy one and try it out.
