today i reversed my van in to my father inlaws car i have put a dent the size off a tennis ball in it and cracked the paint and broke a little plastic bit that runs around the headlight so now need to pay to get it fixed, any one have any idea what its likely to cost, just what i needed as my winter funds are very low from all the bloody snow and christmas ;D
-
Im guessing it's the wing you have dented if it is prob between 80-100

If it makes you feel any better i reversed my van into my mother in laws car in september 2009
She was watching and lifted the front end of her car off the ground
Her front end was really smashed up where my van had a dent the size of a 50p coin in the rear metal bumper.
Think the cost was £2700 to get hers fixed... was a merc slk though

the dent is on the bonnet its a peugeuot 206 i would be happy with a bill of 100 but not a bill of 2000 ;D
-
You might be lucky to push out from under side of bonnet and if you cant then you might be able to use a suction to pull out so might not be as bad as you think. And probably only cost your time and effort with maybe some matching paint for touch up the area and not forgetting maybe some filler etc. Be Lucky and have a good and prosperous new year :D
-
forget the filler paint ect it will never look right. find out the paint code and try and get a second hand bonnet from breakers or try ebay search 206 bonnet or try 206 breaking 206 parts
i buy and sell a few cars so often do repairs ebay is usually a really good place to start
if you can buy a bonnet in the same colour it will be so much cheaper and easier than repairing/spraying it
ant the plastic under the light is part of the grill so if you do find a bonnet in that colour they might have the grill too there are loads on ebay

cheers for the advice, my father inlaw wont let me fix it with new bonnet he is a bit of a jobs worth he wanted me to claim on my insurance so i told him gets some quotes and i will pay as not using insurance he reluctently agreed in the end he has only had the car three days, to be honest when my partner went in to get him i could not stop laughing ;D what goes around comes around he knocked my motor bike over once and as he was family i paid for the repairs ;D

I'd remind him of this if i was you
-
if he keeps crying about it yes will do and i will also tell him not to park behind my van in the drive so close as can not see his car in my mirrors ;D
-
if it goes throught your insurance it will devalue his car as it will be recorded as having an accident, tell him to get quotes then go to a you know and get them to swap the bonnets
-
Just give him £100 and tell him you will take his p.o.s 106 0f his hands :)
-
And I'm just trying to fit my parking sensor kit to my van - £20 of ebay ;D

I "touched" a Vauxhall car rear light with my door in the co op car park last week and cracked the lense, did the decent thing and left my details behind the wiper and got the bill today for £106 !
Happy New Year!!

sorry to hear that ,were i live people park to close as well ,
your looking around £200 per panel at any decent body shop "i live in north east , co durham area"
i had my car vandalisied last year and when i took it to body shop i asked them how there priceing works ,he said its not just the size of the dent or scratch its the labour time involved in masking up , sanding etc.
hope this helps
