Whats the best way of cleaning dirty truckmount hoses?

I use a hose cleaning tool from Hydramaster or wet cloths for a quick clean

I wash like a car then hose off and then get old towels to wipe down, a trick I learned from another CC was to spray car polish on the vac hoses it makes them shine and hides scratches.

I do it may be twice a year but mostly can't be bothered but they do look good.
