Title: Going hot (14th Jan)
Post by: sunshine windows on December 28, 2010, 12:34:42 pm
As the title says, I've just treated myself to a system upgrade.

Providing I can get to Grimsby on the 14th Jan I will have nice toasty fingers through the rest of the winter.
 ;D

Gone for purefreedom as it's a purefreedom system.

A lot cheaper in comparison to most competitors

Grats mate

how much did it cost you and how do you think it will benefit the most?

Been there twice already and still haven't found a snooker or pool hall where I can waste the day away. Ending up in the arcades instead

a while ago someone said that there was a guest house near by, she rented a room for the day to people who where having systems fitted. worth paying for. get a kip watch a bit of telly to kill the day

There is a premier travel inn walking distance from the yard. If o had to stay again that's where I'd go. Maybe they would rent a room for the day. Would be worth it as you will get bored within an hour if you get dropped on the front

where where where???

Got lashed up with my tues night pool team last night as we won a few quid in our summer league.

We had a round robin comp between us and invited Stephen Lee to play with us (he's the local pro at the 147 Club in Swindon where we play).
I ended up beating him 2-0 but went on to tie for 1st place. Feeling very smug all night after that.  :D

I can tell you where the snooker halls are or anything else you want to find.one of the arcades on the front has  snooker tables too.

Cheers guys for all the positive replies guys.

Would prefer to go to a snooker/pool Hall as opposed to dodgy tables in the arcades, so locations would be great.

BFG your humour cracks me up. If ever you need a hand with anything around this way then give me a buzz.

Regards,
Lance

Im sure someone from pure freedom will take you no problem!
Theres a few more too but that will be the best one as its only about a  mile away from pure freedom

just spent £185 on a fogwash system. cant really justify £2-3k when you can get them that cheap. or am i missing something?

its a bit too hot at the moment, (worried about cracking glass) but when its minus temps or going through a load of snow, should cool it down a bit

yeah ones diesel and ones gas.

i wouldn't feel comfortable carrying gas but that personal preference.

All i know is i spend 2.5k on mine but it has been trouble free (apart from a loose jubilee) and its totally self contained and seems like a professional and reliable install so far. I know the webasto is suppose to be renowned as a quality and reliable piece of kit.

ultimately they both produce hot water but for me spending that few grand has been money well spent its kept us working where the cold water systems had froze so to me its earned me money back already.

I have had a few people ring me about mine etc. i have mentioned a few times about the L5's and other gas installs but so far the feedback i got from these other guys is they wern't keen on carrying gas either

as long as the gas bottle is secured and turned off during transport, then i cant see a big risk with a fire or explosion during a crash. i think theres more chance of a fuel line or fuel tank catching fire than a small gas bottle.

like i say personal preference :)

Has anyone fitted their own Pure Freedom system? Can't be that hard as it's all contained in a metal cabinet anyway and would save me a 500mile round trip.

I remember I've seen a program once when some guys where shooting at various things with various guns. One of the experiments was to shoot at a petrol canister and a gas bottle - the canister exploded like a bomb, gas bottle just let the gas out through the hole, no explosion.

So, if you're expecting to get shot at - go for gas! ;D

yeah, great for £185. used it on my house, bit strange seeing steam coming off the window. its a bit too hot at the moment, but in freezing conditions should cool it down a bit.

Cheers for the concern Ronnie, I have read the posts and really feel for you.

Hope you have some luck in getting it returned safely. Any news yet?

All our neighbours eyes are on stalks when someone comes down the end of our street. It's a dead end with no pedestrian access and a lot of stay at home mums (my wife included).

All the best,
Lance

Doctorwindows i've just googled for snooker clubs in grimsby.

Is the Ray Edmonds Club any good. It seems to be the closest one on google maps.

Cheers
