Title: 1st Clean for Free
Post by: Leeroy on December 23, 2010, 07:59:40 pm
Do you think this is a good idea ?

It might mean a month of working for free but you do this when you buy a round getting your money back.

Would I be wasting my time or is this a good way of building up a customer base ?

If you had 500 custies already, would you do first cleans for free then?

think about it. if you give the first clean free how many will have that then cancel. loads it will attract the scroungers.
i have thought about this several times, heres my idea, pay for first clean the 50% of next 2 cleans

You'll get lots of work mate....

then lots of cancellations when it comes to them paying for the next clean.

offer other promo's  such as   rec a friend and get 1/2 price clean or 10% off a conny roof clean if they
sign up today.

i charge double for 1st cleans - you'll be surprised how long they take compared to a reg clean

Thats if they really want a regular cleaner Leeroy, they may just have you to do all the hard work. Personally mate I wouldn't do it. Charge more for first clean, do a fantastic job, sorted.

same here

we charge an extra £4 for a first time clean, plus a £5 fee to open your account on our books which is knocked of the price of their 4th clean

we have been messed about far to much in the past so

we have found ppl that were out to mess us about say "no thanks then" and all genuine custies pay up no problem

It may work but it depends on what areas youre working, some estates around here would take full advantage of you, youd be busy but skint!

whats the difference between how you get new customers. a loaylty scheme does not under value your time or work.
there are some companies bigger than us doing it it works for them

Loyalty comes from time, surely.
You or anyone else can give away first or any cleans you like. I always charge for mine.

i have never done any first clean for free and never would!!

the only exception would be if my dear mum moved into a new place with filthy windows!! ;) ;D ;D

i usually charge extra for first cleans as well as they always take longer to clean.
