i have a few tattoos on me mainly my arms, in the summer when in a t shirt my childs name and partners name can be seen i feel as if my custy's stare at them but when i say what it says they say they quite like them even this old couple they must be 80 if not 90 and they comment on them, i personly would not want to hire some one with them on neck or hand though as it does give a pikey image

I have 2 full sleeves which are on show all through the warmer months, get a couple of looks, but they are a lot more acceptable these days. As long as your professional, smart, polite and respectful then i don't think it really matters too much.

They can give the wrong impression, buts who to say that this person won't be the best worker you could ever wish to have? Unfortunatley they can't be washed off on order ;D
Years ago, employed a guy with loads of face piercings (worse than tatoos IMO) he was one of the best we had and he offered to not wear them at work.
Don't always judge a book by its cover!

If you take him on, you can always tell people that he forgets what to order at the takeaway, so he has his favourite meal tatoo'ed on his neck. ;D ;D ;D

Seriously and nobody take offence, I would be careful in employing a mate of a family member or a mate of a mate scenario. It doesn't always, but it can lead to problems. Why not trial him, see if you get any negative feedback re tattoos from customers and whether you feel it will work out ok? Say a month's trial, where either party can quit within that time should keep it amicable. :)

tattoos are so common!!the ones on the lower back on women or the lads who have em on the side of their legs and wear shorts all year round even in this weather!

two words- TRAMP STAMPS! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

most people with tattoos are lazy dole scrounging druggie scum round here.might be different where you live!!but i doubt it!! ;) ;D ;D ;D

they can be partial to extreme violence on occasions esp if you ask them where they got their TRAMP STAMP done!!

I have a fair few...arms (half sleeves), chest, back am also getting a Sak Yant back tattoo whilst I am in Thailand (traditional Buddhist shamen stick/bamboo tattoo)....so I am not against tattoo's but in my opinion I am would be against employing someone with hand. neck, head, face tattoo's.

Double standard or business sense....for me.

Is it a schnoob or schnood - what all the happening (girly) footballers are wearing at the moment!- get him to don one of those!!

Employ someone on their capability and how they may benefit your business. Is he going to benefit or not?. Do you trust him and can you work with him?.

A tattoo is not that big an issue unless it is racially offensive or a swastika etc!!!

Rob ;D
