My normal seo guy has a massive project on so can't help me out for a while, i have a website that was created using joombla (think thats what its called), is there anyone interested in SEO'ing it for me and how much will it cost me?
-
Is that what he told you Derek ;D
I've got some backlink packages fresh off the fingers of young Philipino ladies if your interested :P
Just remember guys there's always someone beavering away backlinks below you. :o

A quick question for you Derek and Clinton
If you have 3 websites all with same name and tel number and details that are all in the same area just either put people off or not create anymore enquiries?
People will ring or contact a few companies before they make a decission, so if they see you 3 times you may only get one enquiry? and have paid for 3 websites.
Hope this make sense, over to yous 2.

shaun
each one focuses on different area's, works for me.
wynne, not got a clue what you said, so do you want the job and if so, how much?
-
That's like how much to clean my carpet.
Can you say what end result you want or is it sensitive?
Shaun
I'm not quite sure what you mean but am interested to know :) Are you saying they would be better off pooling their resources as they are just competing?
-
end result would be top 2 for one area, the question is, can you strip joombla code?
ps... i'll clean your carpets for £150. plus £1 per mile travelling.plus dinner at maccies.
shaun,
did you cheat on penguin toss or did you get your kids to get that score?
-
just clean carpets to a high standard, dress well, don't smoke, don't swear, be polite, you will be busy, what's the problem?
???
-
i am busy, i just want to be busier, maybe i should stop smoking, thats the only no no on your list.

Derek
How do you think stripping Joomla code out would help with your rankings?
Let's have a look at which site it is and then I can look to see if it needs any on page work.
So which site is it?
What keywords do you believe you need to rank top 2 for?
What do you expect that will achieve for you?
Is there a specific time frame?
Do you want me to show you how you can do it (teach a man to fish if he has time) or task the whole thing out?
Colin, his problem is he's one of these over achievers. ::) ;D
-
my normal seo guy strips code for some reason. not a clue why (thought you would know) but he gets good results.
i'll email the site to you so you can have a gander, if i can find your email, or i'll facebookit to ya.
-
Derek me on my Jack Jones did that.
Wynne and Derek I meant that if a customer were to type "carpet cleaning Altringham" then you would come up on google 3 times in 1,2,3 positions, I think Clintons do, I wasn't on about pooling.
I think you may have answered the question though as you are spreading your area a little more.

Although it may seem counter to what you might do, teaming up with 'competitors' can sometimes be by far the best thing to do. :)
I hear you Derek. If there is a conflict of interests of course I would be unable to take it on, but from what you've said I don't think there is.

Wynne please could you explain the backlink thing what does it do for your site
I have not got a clue about web sites
-
i always thought a web site was a hang out for spiders. ;D

Hi Steve
Firstly why backlink. The simple answer is it gets you higher in the rankings and potentially more customers.
Think of it as a vote of confidence for your site in the eyes of the search engines. The more you get relative to your competition, the higher your standing. (over simplified answer)
You can backlink yourself, but my experience is whilst clients do it for a while they get fed up quickly, are busy doing what brings in the bacon or sometimes spend a lot of time and energy on it only to realise they were doing it wrong :'(. Because of this I recommend a long term, drip by drip appraoch to backlinking and get some other bvgger to do it, thats what I do. This is the surest, safest way to move up the rankings and most firms would charge a small monthly subscription with a monthly report.
My big think though is see the big picture first before you start homing in on anything. Every business is unique with its own unique problems. Anyway I'll stop now cos even I can smell the bullpoop.
Hope that helps.
Serving Suggestion:
The best thing to do is go on Youtube and search what is a backlink

i always thought a web site was a hang out for spiders. ;D
I'm sure you came up with that last time. ;D
-
Wynne i remeber some time back the lad next door to me said you could buy 500 or a 1000 pr6 to pr 4 or something like that backlinks are these good then or should you drip feed them?
WHAT AM I OR WHAT IS HE ON ABOUT ;D ;D
MORE CHEESE & CRACKERS LESS PORT I THINK ;D

LOL Most sites that grow links natuarlly have 90% pr0 and a smattering of higher PR links. What they also tend to have is that they are on the same theme as the main site.
You can learn it all on Youtube, the hard part is doing it right and doing it consistently. This is very hard to do!

Jones is right, you will be sandboxed, or even banned from google
