Title: Christmas or Xmas?
Post by: Steven Shoreditch on December 20, 2010, 10:43:43 am
When you write emails or leave messages for your customers, do you write, 'Christmas' like that or do you write the short version, 'Xmas'?

I think it matters as some of them might be offended if you put Xmas.

It's  not very Christian.

neither is christmas!

its common knowledge that its a pagan festival from the romans and the nordics which was incorporated into the catholic religion about 300ce.

X is the letter at the start of the word "Christ" in the greek alphabet.  So any god-botherer who gets excited about it knows nothing.

If anyone gets upset, just say "'Tis greek to me, bucko.  Now where's my Xmas Ftip?"
