We do mainly grounds maintenance and have done hardly any work for last 2 weeks. I have gone back to DJing for this month to keep the money coming in. Off out to do a party in a minute.

Nice one mate, the more skills you have the better hey, you boy (and girls as the case may be) can proabably clear up a question thats been on my mind for a while now. What do gardeners do in the winter when nothing grows? trim the evergreens?  ???

Gardening is seasonal really and they know winters will be quiet from the onset.

like pressure washing,  summer mainly.

any trade which is affected by the weather or involes getting around hosing estates in this bad weather is suffering , i know a carpet fitter who was getting stuck on most streets and having to dig himself out everytime his workload has nearly halfed due not getting around as normal,  And people think the self employed have it easy

I tend to keep a lot of gardening work on in the winter, mainly clearing leaves and rubbish along with turfing and fencing. I have had a call today about a fallen tree which fell from the weight of the snow so hopefully I can get the truck out and clear that tomorrow.
