11 o clock, snow melting, sun shining, pull up to first house
"can you leave them, its not relavant today"
...cant beat it first thing can ya, really starts your day off well
-
Dump 'em! ;D
-
I turned up at a £20 house...
The guy opened the door and said "No thanks - It's too cold for window cleaning today"
I said in reply "It's OK I'm doing them, you can stay in doors in the warm" - He didn't see the funny side ::)
Went to the next house and got a nice hot coffee and a £20 tip! :)

Andy. That's just the sort of response I would have come out with.
When people said "that was quick" (a while after switching to WFP) my response would be "Yes, I'm starting to get good at this".

I could do with a few customers saying "not today" then I might get through all the work...

Indeed, but it would be nice if they didn't wait until you had driven there in treacherous conditions.

Sensai LWC
will you dump this custy or keep?
Just curious, i'd keep, begrudgingly :D, maybe put up a £1 next clean ;)
-
Begrudgingly i think ill keep.
I looked pretty ticked off tho, i just went right yeh ok, picked stuff up and left. Might be a bit awkward next time i go.
When i next get my electric bill ill tell them its not relevant to bill me today.

Only other thing you can do is miss em out, when they eventually ask you why you haven't been doing their windows you could tell em in the politest way possible why.
i.e:"I am happy to be your window cleaner as long; as you understand I can not afford to be turned away"
I think this is how i will be doing things more in 2011
Fed up with messer's
Thought about sending letters to not todays; don't think this is worth all the bother and would probably wind custy's up. (who does he think he is, just a bl00dy window cleaner ::))
Think missing em out, shows you are not bothered if you do it or not; and when asked why you've not been back; a polite and firm answer could leave the door open.
Have done this before in past, kept some and lost some :D

Or charge custy 50% more next clean as windows that much dirtier (or double ;D).

LWC,
I like the price estimator on your website, where did you get it?
And how do you charge for the various windows, i.e bays, flat windows, french doors etc.
Have tried to make a formula but seems to complicate when i price, i just look and say what i feel it's worth i.e 3 bed semi £13.
thanks lee
