Title: Snow
Post by: Richy L on December 17, 2010, 04:19:18 pm
Snow has arrived in Cardiff!
It has been snowing all day. We've had 8 inches here. The most I've seen!

Whats it like by you?

Had snow in Surrey/Sussex border today too.
Pretty disgusted really as it was widely forecast and even well used roads hadn't been treated.  I even struggled a bit on some gentle slopes.  It took me nearly an hour to do a journey that would normally be 10 - 15 mins.

Has the snow and ice made you think about going hot. If so, how are you going to do it?

Barely a dusting here, and most of that melted. Been sunny all day.

Can't believe it's so different half an hour away! :o

van is insulated. There is no problem with freezing in van. It froze whilst outside the van working, thought jets had froze first but put in hot water and still no go. So must of froze in pole hose and maybe in microbore.

nickthompson1959@aol.com

No.  I'm not planning on going hot Nick.
I don't see the point.  It would still freeze on the glass.
It has got me thinking once again about using iso though.
The trouble is that if conditions are that bad, getting to the job is a problem anyway.

Snow here, couldn't drive on some of the minor roads yesterday properly for wheel spinning and sliding so spent the day Xmas shopping instead.

CBA today, not even going to attempt it as a 4x4 is required  ;D
