Wow, you're really selling it well... Thought you used to be a salesman?
-
cheers ccmids i just dont like not making money
-
if it is making 5 g a month how can u not be making money unless u have really high out going
-
i just read it and thought the same thing maybe i could get a sympathy purchase
-
its down to high outgoings i need to make 1600 before profit and during the crud weather sometimes i cant get more than that cleaned. im tempted to sell and just do commercial do you think commercial is better and do custs let you clean no matter what the weather commercial
-
Doesnt seem like you have the tenacity to tough out the rough....
Characters are always tested in bad times and your quitting. Your business will eventually fail if you run it with a negative attitude.
Maybe you should think about it long and hard before making a compulsive decision you may regret. I would and really think if its the business for you because unless you like it you wont be very good at it
Good Luck
Danny
-
think u would be lucky to get some one to have 20g to pay for a round why not rent it out
-
I might be interested in the Farnham (and surrounding area) work... Depends what quality it is though? Whats the average house price per clean?
Andy
-
I am just starting out so not loaded but will give you £5k for it.
How many properties and how much is each house average
-

Resstructure the debt or find ways of being more efficient. Even then after making £1600 you have £3400 per month profit. If its not much at least you have something to work on to improve

stick with it mate and make it work , next year will be better nice long hot summer on its way .
-
Have you tried that and what kind of return should i expect and im just doin a 10k leaflet drop which im hoping will bring in more work its not the work by trade im a roofer which i still do if the right price is offered so works not a prob

Every business has a operational problem mostly in winter months but its part of the business. I never take whats happenned too seriously. Just get on with it
Danny
-
you say £5k a month, thats £312 a day, thats £60k a year, doesnt make you any money? . something dont add up mate.
whats the real worth?
-
Where exactly from Portsmouth to Farnham do you cover?
-
£5k for the round.
How many properties?
How much is each on average ?
-
i lied its 4,937 a month but i do get3-4 hundred in fascia gutter stuff, its the winter last month i only got 2.600 cleaned on my roundtracker. and some people havnt paid which i have debit card facility to receive payments over the phone but thats only 1k profit
-
sorry bud im looking for 15k minimum cus ive gota get rid of the debt
-

If you don't mind me asking... Is the debt from financing WFP equipment, van etc..?
Andy
-
Why bother doing a 10k leaflet drop when you are only getting through 70% of your work at present? Something doesn't add up here.
-
£5k is good for a round that does not make a profit and you want rid of.
So give me a shout when you change your mind . Cheers
-
Sounds like you've got 5k worth of work which is nigh on impossible to complete in a month.
Would be interested to hear how many customers you have
-
if u read his posts hes struggled like many of us in the last months due to weather
-
Exactly Richy so why then the 10k leaflet drop?
-
Danial.
you may have more joy by splitting the round and selling it that way or at least off loading some of ot.
-
sounds like a busy fool, all low priced houses.
-
i have 371 custs. on a serious note do you think this is a lot of custs for the amount of money the houses are all diferent sizes i have sum houses which are 40 ish quid in hindhead but if you knw the area there not small but there not massive. im alwaystold my prices are quite gud by other windies maybe there pulling my leg. im doing the 10 k leaflet drop cus i was up for a big amount of work so i cud help my bro out with work his 19 so at the mo he 800 a month which is half of the run nin costs hell be getting let go soon if icant swing things around and if a serious buyer comes in id just flog and start again without the overheads
the running costs are fuel 400 easy and 600 on van and ins and equipment and advertising which i will stop as its rubbish.
I actually remember hating it last winter does any1 else struggle like this or do i need to re evaluate the round.
I am only 24 and have limited no how with running a buisness i thought id be the nuts cus i was a great sales manager so i thought lol but it seems i havealot to learn i do genuinley own this round and have worked bl@@dy hard to get here but it doesnt seem worth it. im entrigued to know what you think about the 371 custs tho
-

-
call it 30k and il let you have the van and system as a thanks for bein so generous ;D
-
2 of you cant get round it?
i think you are right to give up :)
-
You claim you cant get round the work but are advertising and canvassing and leafleting for more work ???
Is your other user name Lee Gilroy?
-
I would say with that kind of turn over theres a sound business in there somewhere that could be turned around, what i did to get through my work was go to traditional on bottom windows only during the snow and ice, i knocked off a few quid as the customer would expect but its enabled me to get the round done in half the time and still earn a crust, as it stands all my work is upto date all my customers are happy and ive called it a day until after christmas. In the new year if i were you id canvass between the areas your working to pull the round together more and optimise travel time £400 is a hefty monthly fuel bill for a domestic round?? i i dont really think any advertising that you pay for gets great results in this trade apart from leaflets so if you are paying for anything else scrap it asap to save abit more money, you have a good turn over and more customers than you can cope with so its not needed.
Why dont you and your bro join forces and tackle the work load together instead of independantley?
-
have a good look at the areas , and sale areas that are slowing you down in travel.Compact the round together and build in areas that you can cover more easily.
Don't spread yourself out to quick.
-
thanks for your 2 posts that makes gud sense
-
sounds one hell of a round!not many of us pull in 5 grand a month window cleaning.why would you not make money?and if you was that good at sales and stuff how come you cant spell properly?
it all sounds too good to be true!!and it probably is!!!
another charlatan methinks!! ::) ::)

obviously a crap salesman gotta love the support you get from some people
-
yeah i dont believe you either, window cleaning has the lowest overheads you can imagine.
the only thing that could have happened is you were ripped off on the round, paid big bucks for it and cant pay it back?
or your a gambler, druggie, big house owner, shopaholic or all?

-
i do feel bad for you if you were ripped off, but just tell the truth, most of us can see it?
-
Funny, I thought you would have 1600 customers :-\
-
i was told by a fellow window cleaner what to charge with the wfp i figured i could do 250 a day after working with him so i went and canvassed 5days a week worth or work my over heads are debt, van and equipment etc.. i was told what to charge by another window cleaner. im offended as wouldnt lie over a size of round if any1s got a reasonable offer id be more than happy to take you round and meet custs and see my round checker for proof... its probably best sold in parts tho as many people prob havnt got 15k at the moment
-
Give you £5k for the round
-
what van and system u got
-
a 1 yr old trafic and purefreedom equipment with gardiner poles two man setup
