Hi everyone. I am not a massive contibutor to this site, anyhelp would be appreciated.
Painters have held down drop sheets on a carpet (woven < wool and man made thread).
The tape has left a mark.
I have used sovelnt and citrus clean to no avail.
has anyone come across this?

Terps, white spirit or even oilflow (window cleaners know this stuff).
Apply to cloth then dab the glue, you just want enough to dampen the area. Leave 5-10 minutes then gentle rub/blot away.

Bazooka or Chemspec Liqua Gel is what I would grab off the shelf.
One Step Zap It is good for this too.
Nice hot water rinse after.

Be aware that there are some tape adhesives which you just can't remove 100%.

I did a job a few weeks ago where it had been used to cover cables, i used Prochem Solvex and it all came up :)

I had one on a synthetic and it had discoloured the carpet. It was actually lighter underneath than what was exposed to the daylight. So you may not be able to.
