itll be warm by the time i get it up to the brush so its the least likely to freeze!

hot -first to freeze

very cold water-next!

A man's genitals has 'one eye'; I know precisely what he was saying.  Squeaks, quote the post and stick your next consecutive number under it.

The only reason very hot water freezes quicker is because the surface area is evaporating rapidly i.e. steam. this leaves less water volume so it freezes quicker.

As far as I was aware hot water froze quicker because it's less dense at molecular level.

I seem to remember that from school as well, but it has to be very hot and that also becomes a factor. It is probably a bit of both to be truthful.
