Title: golfball bumber
Post by: leights on December 14, 2010, 07:04:14 pm
thought id share one of my ideas which i put into practice and wokrs really well.

to stop your connectors getting damaged when reeling in, i drilled out a 7mm hole out of a golfball and squeezed my 8mm microbo hose on to it, put bk my connector and it workrs really well, although i have brodex fittings which are short so the golfball stops it from touching the ground.....

i can fit these for you at a cosr of £55.00 plus vat lolll

No it's not, it's a rubbish idea.

Your end will drag on the floor either way.

How many balls do you do for that?
Or do you just putt a hole in one? I mean do they go a fairway before they need replacing?

I recently used a tennis ball over mine  ;)

Did a fine job of keeping my connectors out of the ice!

You could also roll up a big dollop of cut grass into a small ball, stick it in a hair net and use that.  :-* You need to cut grass first though.

Hate that stuff, keep thinking it's a big spider, I hate big bath dwelling spiders. I believe spiders hate me also. I think I was a fly in a previous life that was caught and eaten by a spider. Why I hate the bu  gers when I am thousands of times the size of them I dunno but they don't half give me the willies !!!!!

I drilled a hole in one of those spikey balls you put into the washing machine or dryer. They are really cheap on the markets. just as good as anything out there.

squash balls work really well easier to chop a bit of each end with a knife than messing about with drill takes to long with been soft rubber , trouble with protecta balls from gardiners they are foam and shrink over time and end up not doing their job in the end
