any one use a route planner for there work?

daz.... i've used it to calculate mileage, but think they are pretty useless for planning work as they dont always send you the way you want to go

You can drag calls up and down the list until it makes sense. Just grab the letter in the list at the top left and drag it up or down the list and the route will be updated. Choose "Add destination" to add another stop point. You can get into it by going to maps.google.co.uk and just putting postcode to postcode in the search bar (so, for example, "SO15 5GL to SO15 5GL" without the quotes. Then add destinations and have a play.
I use it daily. The time I save is much greater than the time it takes; you just need to use it enough to become familiar with it.

And if you use google maps, then you can get hold of the route and drag it onto a different choice (you really do need to play with it; this is all hard to describe).
Bear in mind also that sometimes it doesn't take you the way you want to go because the way you want to go isn't the optimal route. I've spotted glaring errors in my mental map of Southampton since I've used this.
