hi everyone,went to get my sealskinz today from the cab of the van,only can find one_bugger ones fallen out somewhere-gutted and sulking all day with cold pandies,need new ones,anyone reccomend the sealskinz winter gloves?they say there waterproof and thermal etc-bit pricey,buuuuttt if they do the job they are worth it,this time i'll tie the new gloves together with string(some of the older guys will understand what i mean)anyone got these? are they worth it?

Showa 377. Brilliant, and cheap.
I used Joka Polar gloves last year, and they are very warm, and waterproof, but bulky.
The Showas are perfect, good grip, thin enough to retain feel, washable, warm even in below zero temps.

I've got the showas but find they are no better than marrigolds when the temperature drops and the wind blows. They have been fine today at +2

We are been using Showa 490 (and 460) for two years. I have tried most other types but they can't beat the Showa. They cost about £10+vat.
We have 3 pairs each- one drying, after being washed, another one drying and a pair to wear. They show very little signs of use and I expect them to last quite a few years.

after reading about them on here,ive bought a pair of cowhide gloves from Toolstation .these have elastic wrists and a cloth liner. this is for trad work and ive roughened the leather on the fingertips so it grips my ladder better. theyre well made ,a bit over 4quid a pair

I get the 'Large size' and underneath i have thin cotton glove with latex glove over - it gives 3 layers - and are waterproof - so far i haven't suffered with the cold.
last year had diving gloves (25.00 quid) too restrictive and bulky then only lasted 6 weeks before falling apart and
still got cold hands.

showa 377, waterproof but they are no good when its really cold. I bought some Fox winter waterproof gloves. They are excellent, warm and waterproof.

i use the winter gul gloves from gardiners and find them ok but they are not waterproof and are pricey at £20.i dont think they will last the winter!! ::)
i also have the glacier perfect curve gloves and these are waterproof and warm but they really make ya hands stink and sweat!!they are also a bit bulky but good for a few hours if its really cold!!!these also were about £20!
