Title: anyone fill use antifreeze in system?

anybody fill pump, strainer and hose reel with antifreeze at night?

does it cause any damage to pump ?

Thats what i do,no problems,same pump through last winter too.

nobody mentioned anything about putting it through di did they ? that I would not recommend for obvious reasons  ::) but it will not damage pump, works and is reusable, cost effective and far simpler than running extension cables out to a van and oil filled rads etc.

sounds like a good idea, them pump the antifreeze out in the morning and fill with pure water?

yeah, turn tank tap off, disconnect hose and drop into a barrel of mixed anti freeze, pump through pump and hose reel, in morning pump it back into barrel, connect back up to tank and flush for a couple of mins with pure, simples ;)
