Title: second hand ionics system
Post by: Rogue Trader on December 12, 2010, 10:08:55 am
Just bought a van with an old ionics system installed and the flow controller dial doesnt seem to work and the pump is working on maximum at all times. It looks like the dial is connected to a on/off valve (but i could be wrong). It all looks real complicated compared to my pure freedom jobbies. Has anyone had a similar problem .......or is there something obvious that i cant work out.

No idea but I hope you kept all those R & W leaflets from ages ago that you were going to scrap when Ionics' legal department hassled you.

Thanks for the chat Steve , good to talk to you , and i appreciate the offer Rhinoman but all is now sorted, it doesnt have a flow controller on there , just an on and off switch , pump runs at 100% or nothing...... it is a 2002 system so maybe thats the way they did it back then! I could easily put a flowmaster where the switch is but i need 2 men to work off it so will keep it as it is and split the outlet to 2. (just hope that the pump doesnt burn out) :)
