I would like to convert my ionics pro 6 to hot but I'm Donald ducked if I'm paying over 3k for the Conversion from ionics, as i paid 4k for the system. So what do you lads recommend? to be honest i don't fancy the L5 because i don't want gas in the van. I know that's a popular option, but what about the pure freedom or the streamline retro fitted hot conversions? Thanks Steve.

Pure Freedom charge £2400 incl VAT to retro fit a 1 man hot system.

Pure Freedom's hot add on is exactly the same as the Ionics one. When i spoke to Ionics a few weeks ago, they said £3895 plus vat for the hot add on or they would do a 600 litre thermopure for a special price of £6k plus fitting.

I have heard similar as to what ionics are doing. I'm Sure they are lunching a new thermopure at the show in march.

Your probably right, but i can't see how they can improve on the Webasto, unless they are going to use a totally new set up as all other suppliers have gone the Webasto route? My original thermopure is 5-6 years old now and still going strong.

If you take your cover off, there's a lot of wasted space, i think the new systems are more compact and with new bits on. I had a demo van come out to me as i was having a gutter vac demo and Ruben had a pro6 thermopure in the back of a brand new van. It had a couple of things on it i didn't recognised. They were valves and switches i asked his reply wait till the show didn't let on a thing. Then me and the BFG ran into Craig at the factory, he told me they are working on a totally new system and I'm not going to tell about it, but what i will say its going to be totally Automatic. All you do is plug in your water supply. So it must do the back wash and the flush and also set the pressure valve for you.

I'm not sure. Still i would love a hot box from them, but its a hell of a lot of wedge.

I would go with the PF add on £2995 inc VAT and fitting, that is for the 2 man set up, still a lot of money but better than £4600 for the same thing!
