Title: Powerflite PFX1350 Can I bypass coils question
Post by: kinder clean on December 09, 2010, 08:57:08 pm
Hi all

Got a problem with my powerflite today ( probably caused by the frost )

Its sprung a leak from the left side copper coil ( that wrap rond the vac motors ) Can I simply bypass these coils altogether ? Got a busy few days and really don't want to cancel the weekend work, was going to call at Pirtec tomoz as the connections I want to join are both male.

Did take a photo of this ( while lying in the snow earlier ) but cant get the bloody thing off my phone !  ;D GOT IT NOW

Hope everyones doing ok, not been on for a while.

Take care

Paul

Why not? it's only a glorified heat exchanger.

Those hoses are only held on with Jubilee clips. Simple job to take off the fittings, find a peice of tubing same diameter as inside of hose, fit hoses to tube and re-tighten Jubilee's.

if i am not mistaken by the side of the pump there is a small lever normaly zip tied down ( in the factory ) this lever stops sol going through the heat system in creatin a by pass bieve its on the left hand side of the pump in the iner compartment of the machine

Yes it can be done.

Call Dave at Amtech he will tell you how.
