Many from different forums (Matt from the cleaning forums ) are finding that you may not need "Hot" water, just warm. How warm ? well if you agree with my 20 degree above ambient theory when its zero degrees outside then 20 degrees is the approx max you should use without cracking the glass.
So...for those that havent got or cannot afford a hot sytem, take your 25L containers indside a warm room in the house and they should reach 20 degrees overnight. I put mine on top of the radiators and they get to 30 degrees. Insulate them when in the van/car and they will stay "warm all day". Just might help you earn in these abismal cold days. No good for colder climates ( hard luck Scotland, every sympathy) but I am finding -3 to -4 ok with luke warm water. If you have a van system then drain the tank and just fill with warm 25L container loads at a time.
This is not for everyone but its working fine for me, got to get out there I am busy earning again. Please note I do have an unused L5 since the summer been working on this latent passive heat idea. More later.
Hope this helps. ;) :D

Well done Jeff for giving us more ideas that we can use in this awefull weather.

i think i may have cracked it too Jeff - just got myself a truckmount carpet cleaner that makes hot water by the ton out of the wand - so thinking with a few bits of hose and j-clips i can get it to run throught the hose .
its even got a feature that say you set the temp at 20'c out the wand/brush , hotter water it heats up above 20 it dumps that back into the pure tank :)
looking good in my head but well have to see if it works lol

That’s right Jeff it all relative to ambient temp in the summer my cold water system has been approaching 30c
Keep the van warm in the evenings and the tank water temp is warm (relatively) 10 times warmer the the outside temp
What do you use Ewan - Hot air? 30c my arse! Are you based in the Sahara by any chance?

I would invest in a new thermometer!! ::) ;D

No sign of the van mount hot water system then jeff?

Since the summer -Double insulated trolley containers/IBC Hot Rod towel rail heaters, Fishtank heaters, 1000w inverters to run them, gas L5s, spent loads £ , no time to chat but will update the topic for next year, meantime the "hot warm" idea works and is duplicatable.
But I get by on 50L a day (dont do frames) so if your using 1000L it wont be for you.
My big fear is that we still have Jan-March, so get the containers inside and then insulate them, I found that by ins. mine lose 1 degree an hour.
Hot warm is simples ;)

Jefff, if I buy another van I will look for a refrigerated one. the insulation will already be in place. Got away with yesterday, not looking to good for today. Promising 1 c for Conwy all day, but it's a hell of a lot colder than that now.
