I eventually got started around 10.45 but the temperature was still -2. It worked though. It slowed me down a lot. Bladed used doorways, sprinkled rock salt on vulnerable areas, walked more tentatively due to ice patches - but I managed to earn what I would normally expect to earn in a half day. Also, I had to connect up to a different bit of pipework as I only drained the part between the tank and the DI. No problem but it meant me working with side door open. No danger of van being nicked over it as the bulkhead stops access to the cab. Each time I collapsed the pole, the no 1 section had a very thin sheen of ice on it - but not enough to make the pole stick. All day it was on the edge of needing to stop but it never quite happened. It did get up to zero at one point.
I can live with that. At least I can earn something. Pity the guys in Scotland at the moment. Hope it clears up soon for you all.

hi mate i basically just put a glug or two in some warm water with a little squirt of squeegee off.i use the concentrated screenwash.also by using a vise versa or backflip you can soap up and squeegee off straight away before it has chance to freeze!!the odd bit did freeze on a few unheated connys but it didnt stop me working.

yes thats exactly what i do birdy!i use a fair few microfibres in a day as they have to be very dry to detail properly due to the very cold damp weather as they have a tendency to smear if their not!!
just make sure the bottom windows are really good and do ya best with the tops!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
