Title: L5 heater news
Post by: Stewart01 on December 05, 2010, 06:56:51 pm
Just been speaking to an L5 distributer in the states who will have a uk distributer in place by march next year offering CE approved units with correct regulater and full parts back up, they will also be more competitively priced than the 1s currentley on the market. I know its no good for this year but maybe the people contemplating getting 1 should muddle through and set themselves up for next year. Just thought I'd share for anyone interested. No charge!!!!!

Thats very good news, however I am not sure I dare wait, I had a great week up to thursday last week but then lost the whole day on friday as temps never got above minus 3. (serves me right for tempting fate on here and saying how well things had gone for me)
It has made me think that if I outlay 300 quid now for 2 of my vans, (I will stay in the warm on really cold days ha ha) I only need to salvage a few days like friday to get my money back.

I had an email from a company claiming to be taking stock of 500 units in 8 weeks time. www.ecotemp.co.uk and being ce certified with the correct regulator

Wonder if they'll still need 2 litres per minute to work properly?

Good luck.

Its listed that it has the 17 minute timer,.. for wfp you want the unit without that. It also seems that its the standard unit that requires 2 litres per minute or more.

CE mark certification was promised for the L5 over a year ago,... I'd love to see it happen but I'm not holding my breath.
