Title: 4040 booster pump
Post by: Ian101 on December 03, 2010, 05:36:58 pm
Maybe a daft question but here goes ..... need to buy a booster pump so my 4040 works as it should.

Pressure at my tap is 40psi if I buy a 60psi pump will I be now getting 100psi or will it just lift it to the 60psi of the pump ??

would not be strong enough.

Our 100psi booster pumps only work on RO's upto 500GPD's.

Its nothing to do with 'strength' of a pump. 100 PSI is what he needs. Its down to waterflow of the pump.
Indeed your model for upto 500 GPD membranes is a small low flow pump, albeit with high pressure.
Your other model (Part No: 25110056) looks the bizz, but only has a low pressure? 45 (ish) PSI i make it?
