If you want to look flash and can afford to keep spending big money on transport then get one of the newer van, Electric windows, Heated seats 80mph down the motorway.
However if you want to get in the van every morning and work it hard all day long every day and are prepared to plod from one job to the next at 50mph and only put oil in it twice in twelve months then there is only one van to get.
Yes you guessed it

A GOOD OLD TRANSIT VAN ;D ;D ;D ;D

No, I said if you want an old van. The old Transits were pretty good.

I think theyre all pretty good Rog if they get looked after from day one, but its a bit of a lottery when buying 2nd hand but theres some great cheapies about, just finding them.

Well yeah.
Whoever gets mine is on a winner.
It'll be 4 years old in april when it goes, and virtually unmarked inside and out and and 28,000 miles on it!

I will.
I didn't want the same van again, as it wouldn't feel like a new one, but I'm going to get one with a second row of seats as it's my only vehicle now. And also I'll only pay £5.50 across the Severn Bridge instead of £11 (which puts me off a lot of trips that direction!).

A freind of mine shows dogs and he,s got one with seats, must have come out the factory like it as its well smart and still got loads of room as a van.

With sec nod row seats, is it ok to mount tank at rear?
Just wondering if it would be as stable as with tank nearest bulkhead?

Ps crew van very nice, my mate sells transits and has brand new cre van as his own vehicle, really nice van.

Good point Mr B, would be alot off weight over the axle ! dont think fixing as the factory bulk heads behind the seats are really good, well the one ive seen on my freinds Traffic is.

Matt

My Renault master has a 1000l 2 man system in the back and can also carry the other kits inside, gutter vac and jetwasher.

However, its a better business model to have 1 guy in a van, nice to have the option for both though on very big jobs, or ones further afield.

Thanks Lee ill look at the renault master

I agree and as you know i have 3 one man vans but i am going to buy some work with a 2 man team who work have worked together in a van and generate decent turnover that way so it makes sense to keep them as they are. (also having 4 vans will be a lot more manageable than 5)
