Hot bucket of water in freezing weather will not work.

I had boiling water yesterday, id mop the windows up, go to blade them and theyd be frozen.

Anti freeze is a no no apparntly.

Get screen wash, the concentrate stuff works up to -15 apparntly and its very suds so great for cleaning.

Halfords doing 3 for 2, i bought 3 x 5l concentrate for £9 i think. used some in bucket neat today, i diluted it down a bit cause was very suddy.

Use more water too. If your applicator is wetter it`s less likely to freeze.
A greater volume of water won`t freeze as quick as a smaller one.

But, I`ve heard of people not using screenwash in their cars and getting Legionnaires` disease (because of the stagnant water).
I think we should all just stay at home.

I just thought I would check to see the actual coshh sheet. I have been covered in anti freeze and screen wash over the years, I use screen wash in my bucket when cold. I have drained radiators and got covered in the stuff. not dead yet ::)

I think antifreeze has a higher quantity of ethanol in it and that may be the poisonousness part, I don't know.

and the safety sheets said screen wash was a flammable liquid which is no big deal really.

antifreeze was classed as a harmful substance on the coshh sheet
