I have a similar plastic one in one of my vans and it hasn't blown yet. The other van has a valve on the tank outlet which i turn off, undo and pump anti freeze through. Not frozen up yet.

I bodged up a 15mm stopvalve that I found in a skip. It works fine, I can isolate the tank any time I want.

anti freeze not cause any problems with the pump sitting in it

No valve but my feed pipe (from tank to pump) goes into the top of the tank. I just open the lid, pull it out, and start pump briefly if I want to drain. The other side of the pump I just pop the hoselock off the DI and run it into a bucket. A few litres of water into a bucket and everything between tank and DI is drained in a few seconds. DI in van not really necessary as I have a static tank. It dates from when I had an RO in the van. Indeed the pipe between DI and van outlet froze as I forgot to drain that bit. Didn't matter though as I just bypassed that bit and worked with a door open (bulkhead would revent vehicle theft).
On VERY cold nights a little dribble of water can still affect the pump so maybe I ought to get some screenwash for that small section of pipe that includes the pump.
