Has anyone used an immersion heater element in a suitably sized lagged tank to supply hot water?
-
some one has, but u can just fill up ur tank from the hot tap and will have same affect, as unless u got a 240 charger on van u couldnt keep it hot all day
-
Dear blue
I transfer purified water from a static tank to a tank in the van

Instead of using a immersion heater element, could you not use in a holding tank aquarium heater, I think a 300 watt is suitable for 250 litres of water. ;D

Can you run a 1 kw immersion heater from an extension cable?
-
Immersion heater would be fine in a static tank! I use four 300 watt aquarium heaters in my tanks.
Ive been out today, snow on the ground, temp below freezing, Ive been fine.
The waters just warm enough to stop your pipes from freezing.

Are the heaters you have fully submersible or do they stick to the inside of the tank with the top end out of the water?
Do you have a link?
Thanks
