Post by: Nick_Thompson on November 27, 2010, 02:47:39 pm
Has anyone used an immersion heater element in a suitably sized lagged tank to supply hot water?

Instead of using a immersion heater element, could you not use in a holding tank  aquarium heater, I think a 300 watt is suitable for 250 litres of water.  ;D

Immersion heater would be fine in a static tank! I use four 300 watt aquarium heaters in my tanks.
Ive been out today, snow on the ground, temp below freezing, Ive been fine.
The waters just warm enough to stop your pipes from freezing.

Simon

Are the heaters you have fully submersible or do they stick to the inside of the tank with the top end out of the water?

Do you have a link?

Thanks
