Did the same thing last winter. Fortunately I only sprained my wrist though. Get it xrayed and go from there. I was ok after a couple weeks but a fracture will be 3 to 6 weeks to heal enough to be able to work.

How did you fall? Not from ladders I hope?

can u move ur hand and fingers,  if not then u prob broke ur wrist,   if you can it is probably just brused,  but u wont be working to day,  if broken, depends on where it is broken and if then plaster it up,  weather u can work or not

if you have a broken wrist or broken hand, you may experience these signs and symptoms:

* Severe pain that tends to increase during gripping or squeezing
* Swelling
* Tenderness
* Bruising
* Obvious deformity, such as a bent wrist or crooked finger
* Stiffness or inability to move your finger or thumb
* Numbness or coldness in your finger or thumb

i would rest it today

can you squeegie with the other hand, and do the holding of the pole with it. I know I would try anyway rather than not work

That `s wrong and you shouldn`t be trying to move something in case it is broken.
Rest it Clee.

i met a windie today who had fallen onto a small fence post in January and it messed up his shoulder tendons so he cant raise his arm up now. hes trad and today was using a trade ladder.we had quite a laff chatting until he started boasting big time, why do people do that

  i also know another windie with half a hand ,uses a  diy ladder

 still,hope you get it sorted soon mate
