What is the best, I know the question has been done before but I keep getting through batteries in a matter of months. Been told by Tanya Batteries that they won't honour a 3 year guarantee on a battery that died after a few months as the battery is not designed for wfp. I'm now thinking of going for an acid gel battery but will I be throwing my money away?
I'm running 2 flojet pumps that are both rated at max 9amps each.

Same place i got mine from, really good service, next day delivery.
Due to the size of my frame work, i had to go for 2 x 86ah , that runs 2 pumps and a webasto. I have an auto charger, but mains charge them once a week.

If its a leisure batt it shouldn't matter weather its wfp or on a caravan it's outragous what suppliers/companies
will say to avoid replacing faulty gear.
I have a couple of M-tec 118's ( the large one ) 1st came when i brought the van 18 months ago the 2nd from
a custy who had a motorhome and was told the batt was knackered - still using and going strong 1 year on !
set me back £0.00
if your eating batts then there may be a problem with your system that needs looking at - you could also get normal
car batt's s/hand from a garage for next to nothing - most of these are still usable and then if it's totally knackered 3 months down the line you've only lost a quid or 2 not 50 or 60

I have never understood this preoccupation with using leisure batteries. Just wire it in to your van battery and be done with it, problem solved. Mine's been like that since the van was new, 3 years now and battery is still fine. The van starts on the button even in this weather.
When I had a trolley system I was forever having battery problems and buying new ones. I honestly don't even give it a thought anymore.

how many pump do you have running off yours? i have 2 pumps and a cordless drill to wind the hoses up (well not so cordless now) running off my lesiure battery, it is annoying having to keep charging it.

dump the battery and run off the van battery, i dont this as wasnt going to pay 90 for a new leisure battery after 12 months use, bought a spare battery for van for £20 from a scrappy, never had a problem with the system

I've got two batteries one was a lesuire one from Towsure and the other a large car battery both cost £50 3 years ago. I always carry two batteries in my van. I keep them both behind the passenger seat so theyre easy to take off for charging etc.

How have you guys got your systems rigged up to the vans battery???

I don't think using the truck battery will work for me. Most of my work I can count the amount of times I move the truck in the day on one hand. And that's with 2 pumps going. Got a day next month when it doesn't get moved at all. If I run off the truck battery the chances are it will go flat as a pancake.
