Title: Freezing water
Post by: craigR on November 24, 2010, 09:54:23 am
Not happened yet but as temperatures drop I can see a issue of water freezing on glass. ( I clean trad). Has anyone used screenwash or antifreez with any success. if so what amounts and are there any pitfalls.
Ps. Theres always two of us so footing ladders shouldnt be an issue.

Screenwash works ok, it's not fantastic but it's better than doing nothing.

Conservatories are the worst as they tend to have no heating, also if they have super efficient windows no heat escapes so the water will tend to freeze quicker.

try putting Isopropanol  AKA ipa (not the drink! lol)
i think 5%  or maybe 10%
test on your own windows see how it goes
i know some wfp use it in tanks, unless i am mistaken,
or you could just ask the customer to crank up the heat befor you come! lol
