Guys that currently run 4040 can you please tell me what they're like as in tds in and after Ro, what membrane pressure and rough production in summer and winter please, many thanks
-
310 in
7-9 out
45-50 psi in
Up to 190 ltrs per hour.
No booster or anything. 55-45 waste to pure.
Has slowed down atm to about 150 ltrs ph, Need to change pre filters, think this may be causing a drop.
-
HF5-4040 currently 300 to 400 in = 6-10 out, 50 psi, 33% good.77% waste...had the membrane since April 09...
Dave.

Cold weather causes a drop in water production,so your prefilters are probably not the problem.

Dave thats way to much waste, those figures should be the other way round, they are at my end.

I have a filmtec 4040 380 in 11 out takes 3-4 hours to make 600l have never worked out the pure to waste ratio, the waste tap is a 1/4 open
-
Do any of you that have 4040 have them pumped? I'd not what sort of water pressure do you have?
Mine is unpumpped and tap pressure is 80psi

Mine is similar to that Lee. Preset by pure freedom to make the membrane last longer.
-
Yeah my system is similar to the pure freedom one but I hot it from the cleaning warehouse, they drill a 1mm hole through the waste tap for a preset but I found I could get the tds lower by opening the tap 1/4 of a turn

Thats not to much waste. Thats pretty much standard and how they are designed. Check any literature for the membranes.
