im running a 2008 vivaro and love it, Did have a 2002 SCUDO before that that wasnt to bad either!!
-
anybody got a citroen nemo looking to get a van next year looks a good little van
-
many thanks for replies,i've probably around 4k to spend on a van-not too keen on a transit there good though a bit builder-ish need something different-can you get a good reliable van for 4k?
-
Expert, dispatch, scudo you will get a gud un for that money :)
-
You ought to get a nice 55/56 plate scudo/dispatch/expert with sensible miles and good history for that inc. hdi models, cambelt change history and documented is a must. If you dont mind plodding the 1.9d non turbo is a reliable engine.
Try buy a van and have £500 left for the unexpected.
-
is there a bigger fiat than the scudo/dispatch?just need the space as have to carry a bit(repair windows/doors as well as w/c)

i use a fiat scudo 2.0 tdi 56 plate, get between 500-600 miles out of the tank (80litres)
good van so far, but have heard of over people have had problems.
might get a ford transit next as i hear they are good?
well if this thing starts playing up, there is a squeaking noise coming from a rear wheel

Only worked out economy once and it was 35mpg. I don't thrash it though.

well i do cart a 650l tank and the wife, make sure you change your fuel filter every 9 months, and air filter, ive just done that as my tank crept down to 500miles a tank, not too sure if changing the oil and filter makes a difference.
i have taken my roof rack off as well, so that will give me an extra 5-10% hopefully!
i do rag it as well, but going to slow down and see if i can get 700 out of it! you know how it is though, always rushing trying to get the jobs in!
-
Im also wanting a larger van fit for a 2 man setup would like to hold 1000+ liters could i pick something economical good with mileage , durable, ie something that is not known for problems for about £5.000 mark oh with a decent mileage too.
right now i have a vaxhall combo 1.7 1998 and i feel its time to upgrade

For me a Peugeot Boxer and a Ford Transit Connect are both extremely good
Best van for you
One that suits YOUR needs and fits in with YOUR budget

my mate delivers fuel to supermarkets and normal stations he says its all the same comes from the same main tanks but dont shoot the messenger im just saying what he told me
-
i would highly recommend a lwb transit connect. i carry 500-600L of water in it, when its full it does slow down but still pulls no problems, very comfortable, and i get 30-35 mpg from it.
-
blimey i only get about 20mpg out of mine its useless 400ltr tank im going back to the bigger transit as soon as i can afford to

not sure what they do to it but every time i use supermarket fuel it's rubish.i get less miles.don't be tricked by the ''5 p /l off '' deal
-
hi,looked at a transit today-impressed better than the shed i had many years ago, whats the payload on a swb?and also mpg? would want to put a 400l tank in it whilst still have room for power washer etc as well this seems to fit the bill

whatever you get make sure it diesel and has rear wheel drive
-
That eliminates every van other than a transit and hiace.

That's our experience as well with 3 Hdi diesels. A couple of pence saving at the supermarket pumps is more than lost with higher fuel consumption rates.

My transit connect swb has 825 kg payload.2 people, 400l + tank , equipment pulls great.and 35 mpg

is that the connect T220, i was looking to get the t230 lwb was mainly for the payload and only relised the other day they do a swb version that has nearly the same payload about 60kg difference so has made think again which one to get.
