If this is your first winter using an R.O unit, or you're plain forgetful, plain dumb, plain ignorant or just cant keep up make sure any R.O units you have are protected from the frost otherwise you'll bugger them if the frost gets in them this week.
This includes R.O units in sheds, garages, and vans. Inside as opposed to indoors isnt enough to keep frost out when the temps drop to what has been forecast. It only takes a minute to do and can save you the need to buy a new unit and 2 or 3 days work wasted.
Dont moan about it if you forget.

You've hit the nail on the head there Batman. I've got 1400L stored, so I'm going to find a cozy place for my Ro under the sink.
Cheers

Pulse technology stats, frost stats, tube heaters, koi carp tube pond heaters, polystyreen sheets, double foil backed bubble wrap, air spaces, infra red poultry heaters....
Now's the time....
Oh and a few grand in the bank...sedatives for when we all get cabin fever again this year..
It looks bad for us here in Holland and Germany...think you Great British types will get a jolly good spanking too ;D ;D
In the mean time I'm off to Pattaya for some good ol'd trousers down six of the best lady-boy fun...ooooh missus...
After last year I vowed to take 4 weeks off in the winter but with the projected cold weather forecasted now...I am really looking at having 8 weeks off/saved for each year so mid mid December to mid Feb...in effect it's just one cleaning cycle for me...we'll see what those naughty scandies sent us in the coming weeks..

I have my RO in a brick built garage with a parrafin greenhouse heater. The other problem nobody has mentioned is that if anything freezes up and gets damaged the chances are you won't get a replacement. Last year filter vessels and pump spares all went on back order due to sudden demand.
Also if you have a parrafin heater stock up now. When the freeze comes everybody is sold out.
