As per heading. Looking forward to not lugging around containers and shurflo backpack.
Also selling my MODEO lol. My lease van arrives on Thurs.
I'll be interested to see whether i work quicker and how my water usage changes.
I 'll let you all know how i go on soon.

Keeping backpack as a back up.

You were right Gav, no probs today with freezing pipes or on the windows.
Wish i'd gone straight to van mount and not bothered with trolleys or backpacks though.
First day with van today and I was earning £10 per hour more than with b/pack, it's FAB.
-

Worked three days last week with the van mount.
Had a few probs.
First of all setting the system up in the van on Mon, my diy skills leave a little to be desired so the pump/controller wiring wasn't the easiest thing to get right, managed it in the end.
On tuesday, being DI only (local tds 35ppm) i put 100 lts of warm water in the tank to start with and had no frezing probs( around 0 degrees all day), started late though.
On way home i bought a fan heater from Argos and kept the van above freezing during the night.
Weds went really well.
Another good day on Thurs, but had to use the backpack on a couple as i couldn't get up a slight incline (wheels spinning).
Biggest prob was jets freezing.
As Doctor Windows has said, not the best week to start with my van, but the weather here on Mersey/Deeside hasn't been a bad as a lot of you lads have experienced.
Overall I am so thrilled that I changed over. I just wish we had this technology years ago when I had my first stint cleaning windows in the seventies.
I actually quite look forward to working now, even in this weather (when workable).
I actually lost more days to the weather in July when we had a very wet time.
One of the hardest things to get used to as opposed to the backpack is tangling up my 100 mtr hose, spose i'll get used to it.
Cheers for all the help i,ve received on this Forum and in person from Chris Roberts and also davids3511
Thanks lads, Jon

Also had a long day on thurs and wasn't skimping on the water, only used 250 ltrs, so very happy with that too.

Funny you mention that Gav, me mate is getting some wfp equipment and is going to be getting water from me for the first few months.Only using about 100 ltrs a week though.
I go through about a bag of resin every 4 or 5 months, so not too bad really.
Cheers for your help and encouragement also Gav, i couldn't have done what i have without this Forum.
And Matt Batemans forum as well (am i allowed to mention that?)
