Title: How much for WFP system?
Post by: KLEENAWAY on November 21, 2010, 01:33:03 pm
As the title reads lads. Im 100% trad at the moment but wouldnt mind get a wfp system. Iv heard so many different people with different prices im lost. How much do you think it would cost for a decent secondhand system with a tank about 400 litres an however how many poles you think i would need?? I dont need 70ft poles and all that crap before anyone starts with that  ;D

Cheers Danny

Hi Danny.

if your coming from trad to WFP why not start with a trolley system to keep the price down and just WFP the tops and trad the ground floor.

a trolley with ro would cost about £800

It could depend whether you're in a hard or soft water area?

I dont think i could be doing with a trolley system to be honest bfg. I think id just like a cheapish van mounted system. What have you got mate? Wimpoclean i know what u mean about the TDS reading of the water but what difference would that make to the price of the system?

It would depend whether you need an RO or just twin DI's. This would then determine whether or not you need a holding tank, booster pump etc & the storage space & hassle that goes along with it. ;)

Great advice from people who don’t know, He would stand a better chance working it out himself

Depends on hard or soft water, how little you know and you think yourself a CIU resident expert, LOL  ::)

400 tank £70

If it is a DI only system-

400ltr tank
Pump box with varistream (I recommend a ready made one from cleantech)
2 x 11Ltr DI's
Hose & reel
Pole & brush
Bag of tulsion resin
A few bits of 1/2" hose & some fittings

You could strap or bolt the tank down, that's up to you.

Hope that helps ;)

Ewan you are by far the biggest waste a space I've ever seen comment on a forum, I don't know why you bother!! Total grade A mong!!!

Danny, if your on a budget you will pick up a full system that will have everything you need weather your hard or soft water for around £400 - £500 which will be something like a window cleaning warehouse system if you want to check there website.

If you would like any further info or proper advice feel free to send me a pm then you won't have to sift through all the crap and put downs people are so fond of on this forum!!!!

Regards
Stewart

it makes me wonder why some MEMBER feels theneed to slate other members on here just because a question is being asked , this is what forums are for . Now ask yourself this , if you were stood in a pub with fellow WCs  and one came up and asked a question but the guy was either 6foot 5 brickhouse or he was known a bit of a nutter would you call this man a numpty , just for asking you a question , i think not . ANYONE can act hard in front of a keyboard . Just a thought

If you are on a budget mate thats no problem but if you have some spare cash and not thinking of using it cos you are not sure about wfp my advice is to use it all and i see you have a van so you could put a custom system in there for less then a grand?me thinks.
