I Cleaned a capet in a lift yesterday, 1 sq mtr plus a few extra inches, was in 2 storey office block, £45 min charge .made me wonder .
What is the smallest job you ever done,? I mean on its own , not along side other work .

Had a few like that, entry mat at a printing firm 5x4 = £65 Greasy footprints from a delivery driver
Small cupboard and hall way, after a water leak £65
Do a few for a cooler hire company, don`t charge them the full £65 though, dependant on where the job is

I live near Kidderminster.
I was asked to do a spot clean in Whissendine near Melton Mowbray 125 mile from home for a building company in Brum.
When I got there it was a radiator leak about the size of a 50p.
Ten minutes plus a cup of coffee and back home. Bill sent off for £180 1/2 day rate. Cheque arrived with note saying everything was fine.
Two months later a call from the builder can you go and do it again as the *+# plumber had not cured the leak. Another day and another £180.
So does this count as on or two jobs?
2 1/4 sq in for £180 =£954/sq ft or £9300 per sq mt. Twice.;D

Don't think this quite beats Kinver, but...
less than 10p size , wax black boot polish on 80:20 green carpet.
Discuss 1 minute, apply citrus gel, 10 seconds. Spot gone.
flush out with spotting machine (partly to make job seem longer). 2 minutes including getting it out of ambulance
Paid £24 (my then present minimum charge) plus £1 tip.
Was working in next door property when my ambulance was spotted on next door's drive.
Justification given by husband for paying this money" the carpet is 1 week old. My wife told me not to clean my shoes in the bedrom with the barnd new carpet. If you can get me out of the dog-house then this is money well spent." ;D
Year 1999 prices apply to example. Works out at about £500 per hour. :o :o
