cheers. I was very emotional and when i went back to place i stole it from i didn't really know what to do with myself. I wanted to crack heads but as it was in a car park couldn't be sure it was these people that done it. hence waiting for the finger prints...I got to look round the guys unit though for my gear but nothing so wait and see.

Nice catch Steve CM - I agree the police are worse than useless on autotheft - I've had several cars nicked in the past; it is very very frustrating.

Good result, glad to hear you have got it back.

Maybe its worth getting a full body wrap, as it will be very hard to take all of that off? and may deter the thieving numptys from nicking it again :o

When my wifes car was broken into Yobs/kids (bless their cotton socks) the door was almost bent in half, they used a screwdriver to smash steering lock >:(

All I got was a 6 foot copper looking down his nose at me, saying "It's kids... not much to go on, heres your crime number" :o

When I said "Is that it then?" he said "pretty much, that's what your insurance is for!" >:( >:( >:(

Basically the Dickson's of Doc Green (old London bobby of telly) who gave a.... are all gone! :'(

It's a nasty world full of nasty people :(

Post by: Steve CM on November 11, 2010, 04:33:34 pm
well i finally got the van printed and DNA'd etc today. And what i found out that no-one has told me is there is a big sting going on at the minute as lots of these vans are being stolen (ie there is a racket going on). She said the police should of told me but no, that would be just to easy ;)

The tracker has gone back on my van. The locks and keys are being replaced and recoded (so no-one will know apart from the guy who programmes it)

I just need to speak with pure freedom tomorrow about getting a new system in the back.

The only thing that will be left of a while is the sign writting but then i may just get it done as it looks a little untidy :)

Insurance seriously is a waste of time. They riggle out of every little thing they can, they dont mind taking your money for x amount of years, when my wife crashed our old car we were left with nothing and we were fully comp!

No wonder so many people drive round uninsured. Whats the point when something does happen they dont want to know!

Make a racket steve.

Just a quick one to say thanks to Alex gardiner. He approached me to see if he could lend me any poles to keep my going, I was knocked back totally with his generosity. He has done me an incredible deal on a long pole.

Goes to show what kind of bloke he is.

hi mate glad you got your van back if i was you i would check the local papers and of cause lets not forget ebay. it will turn up soon some where but when that is the questsion, sme l thieving git tried to nick my 2 ramsey pointers the other week, but thick as they are they are changed across the top of my van, dont chain them up at the back as if they want them they bring bolt croppers
