Hi guys,
the wifes picking up a rav 4 on monday and has found a plate she likes on dvla.Is it an easy thing to do, once she's bought the plate?
Has anyone done this?

80 quid +vat on top of the plate
dvla will do rest m8 ;) ;)

DVLA plates include vat and transfer fee. I bought mine from them so it must be idiot proof.

just dont drive it till u get the new plate transfer over, as if u drive it on the new plate and get pulled might get imponded, but it should take only 2-3 days at most

hi there
really really easy to do. Just 't make sure the new plate does not make the car look newer than it is. IE can't make a 51 plate car into a 52 plate one!
Basically you will get retention certficate you take it with the car docs to the local VRO and it will be arranged for you. Easy peasy xx

Nice One!
I've bought 2 plates from DVLA with no problems, I think they have put the price down a little too.
You can go to your local DVLA tax office with all the relevant paper work and they
will transfer the plate while you wait. Can be a pain if you like to change your car regularly though.
:) :D
